What is this?

These are reflections on living a life in Christ by a faithful Catholic oblate under the Rule of St. Benedict and influenced by the Church Fathers, with a particular love for St. Augustine, St. Bonaventure, St. Bernard of Clairvaux, St. John Cassian, The Venerable Bede, St. Jerome, Origen, St. Gregory the Great, Fr. Ronald Knox, and Pope Benedict XVI.

I think there’s enough noise in the social media sphere, and doubt if another voice is needed, but I wanted a new space for occasional pieces, primarily devotional and theological rather than polemical. I’m not taking any great pains to conceal my identity, but for now I’m just using my oblate name.
